Health issues, loneliness, or loss could be in your life right now. Yet, you have enough of a spark inside of you that you really wish to be happier. That spark alone is something to be thankful for. The scent of the air you breathe, the colors of the sunset, or even the touch of a soft blanket can
make you grateful for having something as simple and beautiful as your senses. Find the tiny, beautiful things.
Do you control your Happiness or do you leave it up to chance?
Do you see the world as “if I only had that car to drive; I’d be happy.” “If I was married to so-and-so; I would be happy.”? You are the one in control of your happiness. Sure, we would all like to win the lottery, but if it we don’t; do we just throw our hands in the air and give up? Hell NO! We are fighters, born with the ability to strive for greatness. Time to look at your mental awareness and make those brain-changing thoughts that will force you behind the wheel. Never surrender control over your own happiness: not for anyone or anything.

Get out a pen and paper and set some goals. Do you want to be more positive? Now, what steps are you taking to do that? Do you have a few obstacles getting in the way? What steps can you take to change those obstacles into opportunities? Nothing will change if you do nothing. Change happens only when you make it happen. Get busy and take some steps!
Reward yourself for every victory
Damn straight: you want those well-earned spoils of war you’re waging against your happiness blockers! You deserve it! If you make a change for the better and it was a tough journey. Reward those wins with something that makes you happy. It might be chocolate, a dinner away from home, or a new hairstyle. All the time, we reward our kids and loved ones when they do something great! Why are we not deserving of a healthy pat-on-the-back too? Time to step up to the plate. It’s game time my friend!
