Kale is great when added to soups, just steamed like spinach or tossed in as a smoothie. Here are 5 Super Kale Smoothies.

Sweet Strawberry Dream

  • 1 cup curly or purple kale (chopped, packed)
  • 1 ½ cup frozen strawberries
  • 2 tbsp. chopped almonds
  • 1 tbsp. coconut nectar OR almond flavoring
  • 1 cup ice

Add almond milk for preferred consistency

Add to blender and blend.

Banana Protein Mixer

  • 2 cups baby kale chopped
  • ⅓ c water or almond or rice milk
  • 1 tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp. hemp seeds
  • 1 frozen banana

Add to blender and mix together, adding milk or water to preferred consistency.

Tropical Treat

  • ¼ cup canned coconut milk (full-fat)
  • ½ cup water, almond or hemp milk
  • ¼ cup shredded coconut
  • 1 kale leaf with stem removed
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1 frozen banana
  • ½ cup pineapple chunks frozen

Mix together and blend.

Ginger Green

  • ¼ cup hemp or almond milk
  • ½ tsp ginger fully minced
  • 2 frozen bananas
  • 1 cup kale chopped
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 3 tbsp. agave nectar or raw dated pitted and chopped
  • ½ cup of chopped almonds
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Play with the agave nectar, some like it sweet, others don’t. Place in blender and mix thoroughly.

Green Apple Kale

  • ⅔ cup almond milk
  • ¾ cup ice
  • Agave nectar to taste
  • 1 tbsp. flax seed
  • 1 ½ cups kale chopped and packed.
  • ½ cup chopped gala apple or green apple

Mix together and blend.
